The glamourous side of travelling? I’m lovin’ it.

Imagine, if you will, the life of a jet-sett, international journalist.

Maybe your mind has conjured a mental image of a sophisticated, coiffured lady sweeping from one interview to the next, her notebook, MacBook and iPhone smartly organised in her Mulberry handbag.

Perhaps, if you’re not a wannabe yuppy idiot like me, you have a more wholesome image of a Lois Lane-esque character, diligently tapping away at a keyboard after coming out of a meeting with a high-powered international diplomat.

Well, dear reader, this is in fact the reality:

Sad reality

Yep, welcome to my life while travelling – a bottle of water and a McDonalds cafe.

I dread to think how many hours I’ve spent in a McDonald’s cafe (or McCafe, as they’re known here), seeing how slowly I can sip a tepid latte in order to take advantage of their free wifi, but here I am again, catching up with some blog posts. I hope you appreciate the effort.

I’m really enjoying it since you asked, and I’m only marginally interested in farming. Nice photomontagery, too. England is just as grey and about 500 degrees colder, if that makes you feel any better.

Thanks, I figure if no one cares about the words, they can at least be distracted by the montages.

Definitely happier to be sitting in a McCafe watching the rain than freezing at Vauxhall station trying to get to FW Towers.
